Officinalis rosea plena

Lactiflora cultivar. Like the other officinalis peonies, this variety is among the first peonies to bloom, and never fails to draw attention. Highly attractive with its large, ruffled double bright rose-pink blossoms which fade to a paler pink as they mature, it has been cultivated in gardens since the 1700s. Free flowering, with good foliage and sturdy habit, it is often referred to as the 'Pink Memorial Day Peony' because it blooms more or less on that holiday for about 7-10 days.
