ORDERING POLICY
In an effort to keep our costs down and pass those reduced costs on to you the customer, we invite you to use e-transfer as a method of paying for your purchases. You may use the "basket" option if you wish to pay by credit card or Paypal. If you wish to pay by e-transfer, note your basket contents and then send us an email with your choices as we cannot do e-transfer via the website. Also, do not take into account if it indicates "Free Shipping" - your shipping is calculated as indicated below; this is a website bug that cannot be removed! Feel free to inquire about any plants that are not currently for sale. We will get back to you with quantity and availability.
We ship only to CANADIAN ADDRESSES as the costs of phytosanitary certificates have become prohibitive. Shipping is done on a mixture of first-come first-served basis and gardening zone.
An order is considered "reserved" once it is COMPLETED by you and you have RECEIVED a confirmation email from us. "Reserved" orders are kept for three weeks, then released. An order is considered "final" once you have reserved AND paid.
SHIPPING POLICY
DAYLILIES: May 30 to September 15 (may vary depending on weather).
HOSTAS: unless we have your choice already in pot, any orders after September 15 will be shipped the following season. Please check with us via email for availabilities.
OTHERS: May 30 to September 30 (may vary depending on weather).
All our plants are robust, healthy and identified. Plants are 1-2 fans (daylilies) or 1-2 eyes (hostas) depending on the variety.
They are shipped bare root in newspaper to conserve freshness. Allow up to 7 business days from the time your order is processed to the time you receive it at your door (depending on your location). Your shipping costs are calculated the day of delivery and are invoiced without profit - we invoice you what it costs us.
Pick-up service is also available. Simply indicate that you would like to pick up your order when you finalize your order. When it is time to pick up your order, you will be contacted by email to arrange a date and time for pick-up.
If you have any questions or concerns about your shipment, you must email us within 48 hours of receipt of your plants at stobert @ videotron.ca. Please include a few digital photos, if possible. Digital photos will help us to diagnose the problem and devise an effective solution. If you do not contact us within 48 hours then a problem that could have been corrected becomes one that is beyond our control and responsibility. However, if you encounter problems beyond this period that could be related to a cultural factor originating at our gardens, we will guarantee against such problems. Please contact us. We want you to be successful and happy with your plants.
REFUND POLICY
We cannot be held liable for any amount greater than the purchase price of the plant in question. Should there be a problem that is our responsibility and that cannot be rectified through cultural advice, our policy is to offer a refund or a credit towards a future purchase equal to the purchase price of the plant depending on the particular situation. We do not refund the cost of shipping of that plant just as one does not reimburse a customer for their time and gas money if they need to return to a garden centre with an ailing plant. That being said, our plants are healthy and we rarely have problems related to plant health. You can order with confidence that we will only ship healthy plants and if there is a problem, we will deal with it fairly.
PAYMENT METHOD
Once your order is confirmed as available AND you wish to pay by e-transfer, we will send you an emailed invoice inviting payment of your purchase. We will request payment from you twice: once for your choices, and the second for the actual shipment charges once they are prepared, calculated and ready to be sent. For this reason, we strongly recommend using e-transfers as our payment option.
